Welcome event – Build for everyone: lightning tech talks

Tune in to hear from Google engineers who have solved challenging problems around making products inclusive for everyone. We’ll also give you a sneak peak at what’s to come and highlight our internship opportunities for tech students.

Building your technical career & CV workshop

7 October 2020, 6pm CET / GMT+2

Google engineers talk about their paths to Google, different technical careers, and their top tips for making the most of your time at university. We’ll also be running an in-depth CV workshop to help you showcase your skills to recruiters.

Tech talk – “Autopilot” by Google Cloud

15 October 2020, 6pm CET / GMT+2

Based on a research paper ("Autopilot: workload autoscaling at Google") between Google Warsaw and the Institute of Informatics at University of Warsaw, a Google engineer will take you on a journey towards clairvoyant resource management using Machine Learning in Google’s internal cloud.

Technical interview workshop & demo

21 October 2020, 6pm CET / GMT+2

You’ve landed a technical interview – what now? Two experienced interviewers will take you through their top tips and common pitfalls, before demoing a real Google interview question. Watch and ask questions, or even code along!

Women in tech panel

5 November 2020, 12pm CET / GMT+2

Your chance to ask a panel of Google engineers anything you like, as they discuss navigating a career in tech, life at Google, challenges & successes, and some of the cool things they’ve had the chance to work on.

Spending summer at startup building innovative solutions to reduce food waste?

We need you to help us eliminate food waste. Seriously. Food waste is one of the worst environmental issues of our time. Whywaste is a mission driven food tech startup that is working on eliminating food waste at retailers. We have developed several data driven solutions used by the largest food retailers around the world.

We now looking for developers that, together with team of students from Chalmers industrial design, will develop a new-to-world solution to reduce food waste in the fruit and vegetables department.

Candidates should have experience in React.js development.

Bonus skills:
UX design, PostgreSQL or SQL

Start date: ASAP

In case of mutual interest and satisfaction, continuous full-time employment (or part time besides studies) will be offered after summer.

Är du en student med skills i software development? Har du lite extra tid över i sommar?

Vi är ett team om fyra (tre högskolestudenter från Göteborg och en erfaren mentor) som söker en kompanjon som vill ansluta till vår tidiga start-up med syfte att utveckla en ny digital tjänst.
Konceptet av vår tjänst har blivit bevisat utomlands och vi tror tiden är inne för en introduktion på den svenska marknaden! Under de senaste månaderna har vi undersökt de verktyg och steg som krävs för att ta vår idé från tanke till verklighet. Vi har djupdykt i bland annat kundbehov, tekniska behov, juridiska behov och ekonomiska behov.

Nu är det dags att fokusera energin på produktutveckling där vi behöver någon med kunskap inom software development som till en början kan köra tester i ett antal olika API:er och som överlag kan bidra med ett bredare tekniskt perspektiv.

Omfattningen av rollen är svår att förutspå men om du, till en början, är redo att rulla upp ärmarna några timmar i veckan så har vi en bra utgångspunkt.

Vad vi kan erbjuda är lön (tidig start-up-lön) och beroende på samarbetet och ambitionen hos dig/er som söker tjänsten kan vi även tänka oss att stycka av företagsandelar.
